This is a maintenance release, not new features. Changes: 1) Extended declaration of GPS usage according to Google request. 2) Prepared this app to be used as a beacon controller of pptc (see http://pp-labs.net)Details
midiHook is a MIDI controller, driven by the sensors of the handset, Android Wearable and the position relative to beacons / iBeacons. midiHook comes with a companion VST plugin running in most common Digital Audio Workstations (DAW).
Supported are: accelerometer, gravity, light, linear acceleration, GPS movement, proximity, compass orientation. If you have an Android wearable, midiHook generates also MIDI out of the heartrate. Also it measures the distance to four iBeacons resp. beacons.
It is possible to configure the MIDI controller numbers, the timing and the IP / port of the computer running the DAW with midihook VST plugin. It is also possible define an active range. Measurements within this active range are transformed to MIDI. You can scale the resulting MIDI values by defining the minimum and maximum values. Finally, if measurements change from outside to inside the active range (or vice versa) for some minimum time, a MIDI value is sent.
Run the plugin in your favorite DAW and map the output to any MIDI port. Get the VST 2.4 plugin for Mac and Windows at http://hollyhook.de/releases for free.

midiHook APK other: full network access, view network connections, pair with Bluetooth devices, access Bluetooth settings, run at startup
Access Bluetooth settings:
Allows the app to configure the local Bluetooth device, and to discover and pair with remote devices.
Body sensors (like heart rate monitors):
Allows the app to access data from sensors you use to measure whatâs happening inside your body, such as heart rate.
Full network access:
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.
Pair with Bluetooth devices:
Allows the app to view the configuration of Bluetooth on the device, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.
Precise location (GPS and network-based):
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.
Run at startup:
Allows the app to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the device and allow the app to slow down the overall device by always running.
View network connections:
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.
