Very underrated app (or feature this provides). I love that it connects automatically and also secures connections to open wifi networks it detects. Unfortunately these are generally rare to find. Most public WiFi networks have a captive portal that blocks you and Google does not automatically deal with this situation yet. This needs to be the next feature here. I would love if I could setup automatic logins for captive portals seamlessly or at least offer to activate the Google vpn after passing through the captive portal. Thanks! Enjoy it!
Tap wifi icon in notification shade, toggle on or off. Now: tap, opens wifi list Why did you make it longer to simply toggle wifi state? Well done!!
Just because I have to buy a bagel and a coffee to get an establishment's WiFi password doesn't make it "not public" (or secure for that matter). Google's VPN would be far more useful if it could be used in these types of public WiFi scenarios. Brilliant
Should also provide VPN on public networks that require login or interaction? I.e. pretty much all of them. Why not just make the VPN option available and let the user turn it on? Flawless
Would be nice if all Starbucks would be certified since they're apparently "Googlefied". Maybe the one near me wasn't or was full. But I've used this at a casino in the middle of the desert of all places and was amazed. I would love to see the certification expanded more and more Don't forget just because you connect to a public WiFi that the VPN should connect. They have to be certified by Google first before it can join the "collective". Well done!!
I really like the Google VPN it connects automatically if you're on public Wi-Fi brilliant. Thank you Google Surprisingly
The VPN is a grt addition. It's one of those things that is vital but hard to rate. It's definitely improved in the last 2 years Highly Recommend.
A free VPN that works in a lot of places! Only wish it could be used for all public WiFi. Not bad
Android O support doesn't appear to increase the success rate with tethering my Pixel C to my Nexus 6P which worked find under Android N. 5 star
Would be nice if also worked on weak-security wifi in addition to no-security wifi. Worth a go!
You can finally secure all connections, even when you connected to them yourself! This is fantastic. A little late, but still fantastic. How you turn it off, though, is unclear. Perfect
Connects me to free public Wi-Fi through a secure VPN all of the time with no interaction from me Perfect!
Temperamental since the latest Android update. Searching notification keeps popping up, and Project Fi has trouble switching networks smoothly. I think Google broke something. Well done!!
One of the best, least heralded features of the Pixel. Peace of mind using public WiFi. wow lol
Cool concept. Third party always on VPNs appear to interfere, though - my phone won't connect to open wifi networks at all when another VPN service is enabled. I suspect it's a consequence of the way the app is implemented (and the ordinarily-reasonable restriction within Android of only connecting to one VPN at a time) Worth a go!

I love it, but I wish I could enable it for specific WiFi hot spots (like my home network). Running multiple vpns is a pain. Recommend
Awesome App! I LOVE the functionality, but wish that it would be more seamless. Sometimes, it automatically secures the network I'm on, but other times I am prompted. This is strange, since it's the same network. Keep up the awesome work! Pretty good

Use to work great, now it does nothing. Open networks are around but this app does not connected to me automatically any more Worth it!
